The Apology Generator is a web-based remorse production system capable of generating professionally formatted letters of apology for any offense, including ones you did not commit. We believe the supply of formal apologies should exceed demand, and we are doing our part.
Academic research suggests that a good apology contains five elements: acknowledgment, responsibility, regret, restitution, and repentance. Our generator contains approximately two of these on a good run. We are working on the others.
The text is algorithmically assembled from a pool of openers, middles, and closers selected using a process we describe as "random" but prefer to call "stochastic personalization."
The Apology Generator serves anyone who needs to apologize but lacks either the vocabulary or the genuine remorse to do so independently. We do not judge. We generate.
Common use cases include: workplace incidents, social miscalculations, the vague sense that you owe someone something, and pre-emptive apologies for things that have not yet occurred but probably will.
Apologies generated by this service are not legally binding, emotionally authentic, or in any way enforceable. They are, however, formatted correctly and contain sophisticated vocabulary, which may be sufficient for your purposes.
